Tony Hillier

Tony Hillier is Chairman of Stauffenberg Capital Limited, a company which sponsors alternative asset fund management and private equity distribution.

He was a member of the Board of N.M. Rothschild and Sons Limited over a period of 12 years, of which seven were as a member of the Executive Committee; for 10 years he originated and managed, as a Divisional Head, a portfolio of big ticket ships and aircraft on long term leases. As the Managing Director of GEC Finance Limited (the credit corporation arm of the former GEC plc UK manufacturing group) he has built and managed a portfolio of alternative assets.

His career began with international monetary analysis responsibilities at the Bank of England; while at GEC he was a founding non-executive director of Financial Security Assurance, an AAA bond insurance company based in New York.

He is Chairman of the Heath and Hampstead Society, and a member of the governing Council of University College School. He was for eight years a non-executive member of the Board of the Royal Free Hospital NHS Trust.

He holds an MA from Oxford University and an MBA from Harvard University.
