Dmitri Vitaliev is an independent consultant specialising in digital security and privacy. He works mainly in the human rights and independent media sector and has led training missions to over 30 countries teaching activists and journalists about security on their computers and the internet.
He is the author of the manual Digital Security and Privacy for Human Rights Defenders, a leading member of the NGO-in-a-Box Security Edition project, and a regular contributor to technology publications.
He has been a participant, presenter and panel member at the United Nations Summit on Information Society and the World Social Forum in Nairobi. He currently manages eQuality Consulting, which provides expert support and digital solutions for civil society organisations.
