
David Donald is the data editor at the Center for Public Integrity in Washington. His current interests include financial, housing, and healthcare analysis and new tools for data analysis.
Prior to joining the Center in 2008, Donald served as training director at Investigative Reporters and Editors and the National Institute for Computer-Assisted Reporting for five years.His sessions focussed on investigative skills and data analysis to uncover fraud and other governmental abuse.
Donald also spent 11 years at the Savannah Morning News in Georgia where he was research and projects editor. He has investigated the re-segregation of public schools, race relations, issues surrounding aging population, and financial institutions behind the financial meltdown.
He has worked on stories that have won three Batten Awards and two Hammet Awards for ethical and courageous journalism.
